I noticed in one area you were critiquing Kennedy in terms of resumption of nuclear tests and connecting the nuclear tests to your concern with the environment.
I was criticizing Kennedy?
On the resumption of nuclear tests.
Yes. When was that, did you say?
That was in September '61.

Well, I don't take back a word of that. But when I was thinking of environment, I really was not thinking of environment in the nuclear sense. I mean, that's a different --
Right. That was one of the things I was trying to piece together, is when did you start to bring those two kinds of concerns together in your own thinking?
You mean --
The nuclear tests and their effect -- did people know about their potential impact, negative impact on the environment? And were groups like the Sierra Club addressing those issues?
