necklaces, and a lot of jewelry. I had met her once before, but she really hadn't registered on me before. As soon as I heard she was in the building I went right out and met her, shook hands with her, greeted her, and brought her in to introduce her. I noticed then something that she has worn since - a lot of bangles. She had bracelets with a lot of dripping bangles on them. She also had a little white hat that was very chic. She was very well gotten up. She walked around very briskly and looked very brisk.

I introduced her to everybody. None of them know her, but they all rose and were very polite to her. She sat down at the table. Mr. Davis, who was presiding, said, “Well, Mrs. Rosenberg, we were just in the middle of making out a plan for our individual activities in being in touch with different organizations of employers of labor people. We thought it was best to do that individually, because we'll make better time if each of us individually does that and then reports back. If you don't mind, we'll go right on.”

“Oh yes, of course,” she said.

He went on and said, “Well, now, Watt, will you do this. Meany, will you see these people and bring in a report. Mr. Hook, you do this.” Hook had some objections. He didn't want to see that group. He wanted to see another group.
