Frances Perkins - Interview 102, side 1 - 14 June, 1955 - 2127 Le Roy Place N.W., Washington, D.C. This interview taken on a tape-recorder.

Interviewer:

Let's go through these things, because no one can read this writing, believe me. Maybe Miss Jay can. Now, if you would just read these things off, as you see them now. Are they in any order? Here are some more.

Perkins:

Those are something else that deal with another matter, I think.

You see, this was a memorandum to myself, to take up with him, and I did speak from it. Here's one headed “Too Many Cooks.”

Interviewer:

We've got to identify these things in some fashion. I wonder if we should put numbers on them? Are these all going to be in one folder somewhere?

Perkins:

I was just going to ask you if I should leave them in.

Interviewer:

Yes, definitely, except that we should try and make them legible in some way. They aren't always dated, are they?

Perkins:

This one was dated February 8, 1842:
