The 2009-2010 Order of Omega Executive Board
The Executive Board of Order of Omega at Columbia University is chosen through an election at the end of each academic year. The Executive Board works together to serve as a liaison between the Greek community and the rest of the Morningside community through organizing and participating in Philanthropic events.
Daniel Kanak, President
Daniel Kanak is a senior in Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Born and raised in Japan, Daniel went to high school at Groton School in Groton, Massachusetts and lived a year in Barcelona, Spain before enrolling at Columbia College. At Columbia, he is majoring in East Asian Studies with a focus in Political Science. Within the Greek community, Daniel has served as Philanthropy Chair of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Outside of the Greek Community, he is an Executive Board Member of the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (C.O.R.E) and Vice-Chair of Columbia College Senior Fund (Class of 2010). He was also a member of the Freshmen Collegiate Lightweight Rowing Team and Notes and Keys a Capella. Along with Robert Frawley (Vice-President of the Order), he was awarded the Patrick W. Robert Frawley, Vice President
Robert is a senior in Sigma Nu Fraternity. A Long Island native, Rob is a Biomedical Engineer in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is a four year member of the Division I Swimming Team specializing in freestyle. When not in the pool or on the third floor of Mudd Rob spends time working for the ACS Relay for Life planning committee and the EGPAF-Columbia Dance Marathon, two large-scale philanthropic events that each raise over $50,000 each year. Besides begging for money to fight disease, Rob also begs for money for the SEAS class gift as a member of the Senior Fund Committee. His future plans include attaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Nina Beary, Secretary
Nina Beary is a senior in Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Born in Chevy Chase, MD, she moved to Cincinnati, OH where she attended Cincinnati Country Day School. At Columbia College, she is majoring in Political Science, and within the Greek Community she has served as Philanthropy Chair of Kappa Alpha Theta. Outside of Greek life, she is on the executive board of the Women's International Business Council (WIBC), a member of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, and a member of CU Road Runners. Alexandra "Ola" Jacunski, Treasurer
Ola is a Junior in Delta Gamma Fraternity. She was born in Toronto and has spent most of her life living in either Poland or Canada, where she attended the British School of Warsaw and Havergal College, respectfully. She is a double major in Biology and English Literature and plans to attend medical school after graduating. In Delta Gamma, she has served as Director of Sponsorship and Director of E-Comm, and is currently on the organization's Honor Board as its Junior Member.
