Doctoral Student

Rebecca Mohr, M.A., is a psychology PhD candidate working with Dr. Valerie Purdie Greenaway. Prior to starting at Columbia, Rebecca received her B.A. in psychology from Tufts University in 2010. After college, she worked as the lab manager for a cross-cultural psychology lab under Dr. Michele Gelfand at the University of Maryland for two years.

Broadly, her research explores discrimination, intersectionality, and stigmatized identities. Her dissertation work examines when and how people make judgments that discrimination has occurred by looking both at the target of discrimination as well as individual identity differences of the perceiver.
