PROPOSAL FOR NEW DEGREE OR CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS,

NEW JOINT DEGREE FROGRAMS

OR CHANGED REQUIREMENTS FOR EXISTING PROGRAMS

     A proposal for a new degree or certificate program, a new joint degree (or joint degree certificate) program, or for changed requirements for an existing degree or certificate program includes the following:

1. the approvals sheet

2. a narrative statement that speaks briefly but precisely to issues of purpose and content, resource utilization, and quality control, according to the outline provided (omitting items that are not applicable);

3. the two summaries asked for;

4. the two attached appendices, one showing the approval as to form by the Registrar, the other containing a statement on the availability of library materials and computer facilities by the Vice President for Information Services and University Librarian.

     Submit the proposal to the Vice Provost for Academic Administration, 310 Low Memorial Library, who will review it on behalf of the Provost and forward it to the University Senate Committee on Education.
