POLYDAMAS was Antenor's son and one of the Trojan heroes. Chaucer follows Boccaccio's Il Filostrato (1333-1339) IV.3 by giving, in one stanza, the names of those heroes who tried to prevent Antenor's capture, among them Polydamas, Tr IV.50-56. [Antenor: Monesteo: Polite: Polymestore: Rupheo: Santippe: Sarpedon]

The name appears medially, Tr IV.51.
