Alternate Theories for the Rise of Gargoyle-Man
By Maderic Nessau
The recent discovery of a strangely-shaped and grotesque early hominid has led many in the scientific community to rethink their earlier conceptions of the path of human origin. I'm talking, of course, about homo gargolis, or "Gargoyle Man." Ever since its unveiling, this strangely-formed biped has raised hundreds of questions about human evolution, sentience, teh selectiveness of nature, and of course, the reliabilty of modern scientific techniques (there are many theorsts in the field who still refuse to believe either the dating techniques of the scientists involved or the the veracity of the find itself, or both).
The constant checking and re-checking of the find has slowly whittled away fears that incompetence has provided us with this discover, or that the world is to be the victim of another hoax like the "Piltdown Man" of 1912. So the find is real. But is it really human? By human, I of course mean, is it part of the evolutionary tree of humanity, which includse such notables as the early forbears, the australopithecines, and are more recent relatives in the genus homo, h. habilis, h. erectus, the recently-discovered h. asfa and h. asdd? Though the speciation, analysis, and theorizing of these species is still in hot contest in the field, expecially with the addition of these new finds, most anthropologists can agree on a generally straightforward plan of hominid evolution, despite varying theories on teh points of "branching" in the family tree. But Gargoyle Man is so very different (italics) that many claim it to be part of another species entirely.

But what species? What Species could possibly account for the origins of Gargoyle Man? There are no other species in the archaeological record of Earth that come as close to the morphology of Gargoyle Man as the hominid line, and if we eliminate that possibility entirely, where are we left?
The answer is simple. Gargoyle Man is NOT OF THE EARTH. Here we have, finally, definite proof of the existence of extraterrestrials . . .
