Your grade will be based on your recitation grade (problem sets), your hour exam scores, and a final examination according to the following scheme:
10% - Problem Sets
45% - Hour Examinations
45% - Final Examination
The hour exams will not be graded on a curve. You will be given letter grades based on a pre-determined absolute scale. On these exams, therefore, you are not in competition with each other. If everyone writes a good exam, then everyone gets a good grade. You must take all three exams, and all three will be counted in your final grade. Permission to miss an hour exam will be granted only under the most extraordinary circumstances.
Regrade requests must be submitted in writing in 318 Hav within one week of the day we return the exams to you. After one week, no regrade requests will be accepted.
