We advise that you take public transportation since parking around West 168th Street and Broadway is scarce, and relatively expensive. There are several public buses and trains that stop within short walking distance of the Hammer Building. Please refer to the bus and train listings below.

From the North

Take the West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway (NY 9A South) and get off at Exit # 15- 178th Street. Follow signs for Riverside Drive and continue until the light at 165th Street. Turn left going up the hill to Fort Washington Avenue. Turn right onto Fort Washington Avenue and parking will be immediately on your right.

From the South

Take the West Side Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway (NY 9A North) and get off at Exit # 13- 158th Street. Follow exit off the ramp, bear right and up the hill to the light at Riverside Drive. Turn sharply left at the light onto Riverside Drive and continue up a winding hill. Bear right at the top of the hill and continue on Riverside Drive until the light at 165th Street. Turn right onto 165th and go up the hill. Turn right onto Fort Washington Avenue and parking will be immediately on your right.

Within New York City

Take the A, C, #1, or #9 subway to 168th Street, or take the M2, M3, M5, or M100 bus to West 168th Street and Broadway. Take the M4 to 168th Street and Fort Washington Avenue. For additional bus and subway information, call the Metropolitan Transit Authority at (718) 330-1234. Fares at the time of the conference will be $2.00 for both the subway and buses. Buses require either a Metro Card (which can be purchased at all subway stations) or exact change; bills and tokens will not be accepted.
