Abtransport jüdischer Frankfurter Bürger nach Theresienstadt, Sammlung in der Großmarkthalle, Herbst 1942 / Frankfurt Jews assembled at the Großmarkthalle to await transport to Theresienstadt in Spring 1942. Situated on the river just south of the Zoo, the Großmarkthalle was Frankfurt's gigantic wholesale produce market, served by a network of railroad lines as well as a river port, and was used from 1941 onwards by the Nazis as collecting point for the deportation of Jews from Frankfurt and the surrounding area. The Großmarkthalle is now the seat of the European Central Bank.
