John Bjorn Johnson, born in Sauherad, Telemark, Norway, in 1852 (probably as Jan Bjornson or maybe Bjorn Jansen), emigrated to the USA in 1861, married Simone Mathene "Martina" or "Martha" Andersdatter Halvorson in 1875. They had 12 children, including my mother's mother, Johanna Ingeborg ("Hanna Engeborg") Johnson. John Bjorn Johnson died in Minneota, Minnesota, in 1925, when my Mom was three years old.
