The Realities of Peacekeeping: Inclusive National Ownership and the Achievement of Sustainable Peace

  • Completed six weeks of field research in Liberia, studying the withdrawal of the peacekeeping mission
  • Interviewed over 100 personnel from the UN system, national and local government, civil society, and international partners
  • Published a report entitled “Inclusive National Ownership in UN Peace Operation Transitions”
  • Presented findings to senior leadership of the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the United Nations Mission in Liberia
