1 Material supplied from previous entry: S uses ditto sign.

2 Probably Friedrich (Fritz) Redlich (1868-1921), leading Austrian industrialist (owner of a sugar refinery and other businesses in the region of Göding), politician, and patron of the arts; father of Hans Ferdinand Redlich (1903-68), Austrian musicologist. Fritz is known to have been a friend of Gustav Mahler and his family.

3 Eduard Gärtner (), singer (bass), whom S accompanied in recitals on some occasions, and who gave performances of S’s own Lieder and arrangements: see Federhofer, Nach Tagebüchern, p.19, n.37.
