STUTTGART, den 15. Novbr. 1905

Herrn Dr. Heinrich Schenker Wien III
Reisnerstr. 38

Sehr geehrter Herr!

Dr. Heinrich Schenker, Vienna III

Dear Sir,

Mr. Eugen d’Albert,2 with whom we enjoy good business relations, has drawn our attention favorably to your work New Musical Theories and Fantasies by an Artist after we had been obliged to answer your recent direct inquiries in the negative on account of the heavy demands of [our] other undertakings. In view of this change of circumstances, we are, however, now disposed to take your kind proposal further, and accordingly ask you to send your manuscript to us for inspection.

With kind regards,
[ sign’d: ] Heirs of J. G. Cotta’s Book Dealership
