Handwritten letter from Cube to Schenker, dated April 25, 1931 Duisburg/Rhld. Gellerstr. 2. Sehr verehrter Meister! Handwritten letter from Cube to Schenker, dated April 25, 1931 Duisburg, Rhineland, Gellerstraße 2 Most honoured master, Please excuse me for not writing until today. I had, and still have, much to do with the liquidation of the household and matters concerning the estate.1 For today just a brief word: I am going to Prof. Violin in Hamburg!2 I shall first go to Austria for a period of complete relaxation, at the home of friends. At present my brain still feels stunned, but as soon as I have a little more rest, I shall write to you about everything, with full details! Best greetings. © Translation William Drabkin 2006. |
