Handwritten note from Elias to Schenker, dated September 5, 1934

Wien, 5/IX – 1934.
Lieber Herr Doktor!

Dear Doctor,

Sincere thanks for your dear card.1 I hope your stay in Salzburg was not all too rainy and that you got home well rested. Because I would not {verso} wish to disturb you right after your arrival, I am for the time being inquiring in writing as to how things are with you and your dear wife. If it is not too much trouble for you, I should be very grateful for a quick telephone message.

All the best to you both from my brother and
Your [ sign’d: ] Angi Elias
