Handwritten postcard from Jonas to Schenker, dated “Monday” [September 3, 1934]] {recto} [To:] Dr Heinrich Schenker [postmark:] || 1 WIEN [..?] | -3.[illeg] | * 5e * || {verso} Since I assume that because of the weather you probably will not stay so long in Salzburg,2 I am writing you already today. I will be in Vienna until about the 12th, and would be grateful if I might visit you. I hope that you had a very good vacation. From Hoboken,3 whom I have written twice, also requesting information about his plans, I have not received a line as of today! Is he afraid that he might commit himself? Well fine!—I can still be reached at XIX Trummelhofgasse 4! All good wishes to you and your dear wife. Yours most respectfully, © Translation John Rothbgeb, 2006. |
