Ehe ich zu besserem Schreiben komme, will ich Ihnen für Ihre Briefe u. die Zusendung des Manuskripts danken,² das wieder zu haben mir sehr wertvoll ist.

Was ich im Klavierunterricht bei Anfängern treibe, geht seither erheblich über das dort Gesagte hinaus.³

Dear Professor,¹

Before I get to writing more properly, I want to thank you for your letters and the sending of the manuscript,² which is very useful for me to have again.

What I do in piano instruction with beginners since that time goes considerably beyond what is said there.³
