Sehr geehrter Herr !

Ich erlaube mir hiemit den von Ihnen mir zugesandten Verlagsvertrag1 mit meiner Unterschrift versehen einzusenden, nur danke bei dieser Gelegenheit für die liebenswürdige Übernahme meines Buches.

Wollen Sie die Güte haben, mir bei Einsendung Ihres Vertragsexemplares mitzuteilen, wie lange (beiläufig) der Druck dauern, u. wann das Erscheinen des Buches zu erwarten sein wird.

Ich werde mich beeilen, das Nachwort {verso} in der neuen Fassung einzusenden.2

Dear Sir,

I hereby take the liberty of forwarding to you with my signature the author–publisher contract that you sent me.1 Let me take this opportunity to thank you for so kindly taking on my book.

When sending me your copy of the contract, would you so good as to let me know me how long (roughly) publication will take, and when I can expect the book to appear[?]

I will {verso} send you the Afterword as soon as possible in the new version.2
