Sehr geehrter Herr Direktor !

Einladung folge.

Mit ausgez. Hochachtung

Dear Director,

Yes indeed: now it is possible.1 I will gladly make use of the lesson-time 11:00–12:00 tomorrow, vacant because a female student [of mine] is away, to pay you a flying visit. However—[let me say] in advance2—not a word of criticism, for, to speak quite frankly, I feel myself more competent on this point front than your advisers, and have at any rate made a better job [of it] than UE’s other contributors, such as Pugno, Röntgen, Door, etc., [and] Busoni,3 who were not criticized. Purely technical questions to do with printing {recto} I do not at all rule out, as you will tell from the readiness with which I am following up your latest invitation.

With kind regards,
Dr. H Sch[enker]
