KAKAMEGA FOREST LINKS

BIOTA is a German collaboration involving many kinds of biological studies of forest biodiversity and fragmentation. Kakamega Forest is one of their study sites.

ICIPE - Kakemega Forest Integrated Conservation Project
The International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) together with its Partners is implementing an integrated project that aims at contributing to the conservation of the Kakamega Forest by tackling some of the major factors that lead to its destruction and loss.

Kakamega Forest from Udo Savalli's site at the University of Kentucky.  Udo Savalli conducted research on sexual selection in yellow-shouldered widowbirds (Euplectes macrourus) at the forest in the 1980's.
