Experimental design considerations
Must be able to address our core physics questions:
- Pure electron plasma physics in toroidal geometry with negligible effects of neutrals
- Ability to continuously change from stellarator field to pure toroidal field (ramp rotational transform smoothly to zero)
- Positron and positron-electron plasma confinement
- High energy particles should be confined
Design and construction should take no more than 1.5 years - we want results in less than 2 years!
