Marc D. Kutner, MSW, MPA joined Services for the Underserved’s (SUS) senior Management team in 2009. SUS is one of New York City’s largest human services providers encompassing a complete range of Mental Health, Supportive Housing, Developmental Disability, HIV/AIDS, and Veterans services. Mr. Kutner oversees SUS' planning, service design and innovation, grants pursuit and administration (government and private foundation), research, internal consultation, and a number of operational management functions associated with new SUS businesses.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. Kutner has developed extensive experience in the development, implementation and operation of a wide range of health care and behavioral health care programs in his work with private corporations, major hospital and long-term care systems, as well as the trade organization for New York City's behavioral health care providers. In the resource development arena, Mr. Kutner has secured in excess of $20 million new program dollars from a wide range of funders over the past two years.
In addition to an MSW from Columbia (SEA), Mr. Kutner holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University (Bachelor of Science, Policy Analysis and Management) and New York University (Master of Public Administration, Health Policy and Management); he is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Social Welfare policy specializing in organizational development in the human services sector. Mr. Kutner has also served as a CUSSW Field Instructor in the Social Enterprise Administration Management Fellows program.
