Founded in 2001, Columbia Classical Performers has made it its mission to help musicians at Columbia have accessible performance opportunities through recitals and masterclasses held on campus. CCP works to give musicians performance outlets while presenting free high-quality classical music to the Columbia community.

CCP reserves performance venues for musicians and helps coordinate all recital details, such as: publicizing events, making programs, opening up the recital venues for rehearsals and concerts, and planning receptions.

Each year we hold 2-4 recitals per semester (depending on performance demand), where we organize concert programs based on repertoire and the preferred performance date of interested musicians. Anyone can perform in CCP recitals although each concert has a one and a half hour cap. Performers interested in organizing a solo recital should contact Christopher Haas (crh2109@columbia.edu) or Shelly Zhu (xz2122@columbia.edu) directly during the first few weeks of the fall or spring semesters.
