Volunteering at Animal Shelters
CSAP volunteers at Animal Care & Control of New York City. Volunteers can choose from a variety of different activities, including dog walking and cat socialising. CSAP members who are interested in volunteering will need to attend one training session and commit to four hours at the shelter a month. Please sign up for a training session! CSAP's contact person at AC&C is Elisabeth Manwiller - emanwiller at nycacc.org. AC&C has three Animal Care Centers in New York City - the closest to Columbia is located at E 110th St & 2nd Ave.

Another volunteer opportunity is with Anjellicle Cats Rescue. They need volunteers to feed and socialize with cats, clean cages, occasionally administer medication, and observe any health or behavioral concerns. Each shift is approx. one hour. CSAP's contact person at Angellicle Cats is Abby Volin - abby.volin at gmail.com, 917.596.8464. Their newest facility is very close to Columbia - Petco at 100th St and Columbus Ave.
