Archery, Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Fencing, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Lacrosse, Rowing, Soccer, Softball, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, and Wrestling. If you want to try your hand at playing a varsity sport, contact the team’s coach to ask about walk-on tryouts. If you’re not athletically inclined, check out the games during the season anyway to get some free stuff and show some school spirit. Club Sports
Aikido, Archery, Badminton, Ballroom & Latin, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Capoeira, Cricket, Cycle Racing, Equestrian, Figure Skating, Floor Hockey, Goju-Ryu Karate, Hikinh, Hockey, Japan Karate, Judo, Kayak, Kendo, Kickboxing, Kung Fu, Lacrosse, Moy Yee Tai Chi, Masters Swim, Racquetball, Road Runners, Rock Climbing, Rugby, Sailing, Shaolin Kung Fu, Shotokan Karate, Ski Racing, Squash, Surf Club, Swing Dance, Tennis Club, Table Tennis, Tae Kwon Do, Triathalon, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, and Waterpolo. A number of these club sports team are top in the nation. Club sports usually compete against other universities, however they are given less funding then varsity sports teams. Intramural Sports Leagues or Tournaments
Flag Football, Outdoor Soccer, Indoor Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Squash, Racquetball, Whiffleball, 3-on-3 Basketball, Badminton, and Table Tennis. Some sports leagues are better run than others, but it varies year to year based on interest and man-power. Tip: Barnard runs a co-ed soccer league that is much better run than Columbia’s, so if you are ever frustrated with the system, you can wander across the street.
