Did they have a recount?
They really didn't need to.
Fred Samuel died within days.
He died within days. The final count was so close that I don't think that there would have been any point. The only time they would have needed a recount is if the District Committee had not voted that Hilton should be the candidate. But after that there was no point in recounting.
Let's identify David Dinkins a little further. He ran for borough president again and he was elected two days ago.
That's right.
Of course, he had the nomination.
He had the nomination and there was no question that he would win, like in the general election.
