Who characterized it?

Q:

I believe that was Louis Martin when he was briefing me once.

Clark:

Was the he one who told you that I had resigned? He was sort of upset.

Q:

Would you ever feel that the reason the Joint Center might have gone to Gallup rather than Data Black was because of the enormous prestige the Gallup has nationally, not just among blacks but in the white--?

Clark:

I presume so, and that Data Black was headed by blacks.

Q:

Do you think that from the standpoint of public relations the Joint Center, in rank pragmatism, would have had to view that as a negative, that there might be a public relations credibility problem?

Clark:

Well, that would be damaging to all black business, wouldn't it?

Q:

Of course it would be.

Clark:

Sure! You know, we have had joint ventures with other companies. For example, one of our first studies of Data Black was done for IBM. Well, you know, if that were a factor in their decision then it would seem to me that it would mean that black
