I think you'd already mentioned Thurgood Marshall. He had been on their list.

Clark:

Yes. You're going to have a hard time, but I think it would be sorth the pursuit.

Q:

And what about Eleanor Holmes Norton?

Clark:

Still young. Five years from now-- maybe. That's almost a condescending thing for me to say, but I didn't mean it in a condescending way. I think Eleanor is still groping and feeling her way, and I think she'll come out all right. I don't mean it the way it sounds. She's still formative, that's what-I mean.
