That's being funded entirely by New York City?

Lasker:

By New York City, but they're looking for NIH Heart Institute Funds to enlarge their effort. New York City is of couse badly managed in every department including especially health, to say nothing of parks and police and garbage -- a scandal --

So I don't know how much New York City is going to reduce its death rate from high blood pressure because they seem to be not efficient, but at least they're aroused to think about it, and they're finding that there's a high percentage of people whose blood pressure they are taking who need treatment, like a third, about.

Q:

There was an inspired article in the TIMES today based on President Johnson's illness, on arteriosclerosis.

Lasker:

Today or yesterday?

Q:

Maybe it was yesterday.

Lasker:

I saw one yesterday.

Quite a lengthy one -- I guess it was yesterday.

Lasker:
