Lasker:

I gave a luncheon on June 11th for members of the Advertising Council and for the DKG Advertising Company and for people who are members of the Citizens for the Treatment of High Blood Pressure to see the commercials that they were developing -- the so-called commercials -- for television and their ads for the newspapers and magazines. They're very dramatic. You'll be astonished.

Q:

When do they start?

Lasker:

The TV commercials start in September.

Now as to appropriations for '76, I've been throught the usual fatiguing procedures. I sometimes think I'll have a stroke myself. I lobbied Mr. Flood. Mr. Stokes and Mr. were new members of the committee, and I was really quite unsuccessful with them also .

Q:

This was this past week?

Lasker:

No, this was in May and early June. I took Congressman and Mrs. Conte to dinner and the theater. We had invited them all to parties of various kinds. the main one I gave you a list of. But they came out with an increase, but the increase was just enough that you could not say it was terrible and go to the leadership about it and get any action. There was an increase. But it was
