know anything about medicine. And Denoix, her depuity or her chief medical officer, didn't even know how much money they had for cancer research. I said, “Well, guess how much you think France is spending.” He said oh, he thought maybe about $10 million. So you see, they don't have any high priorities. I said, “Are you doing anything about high blood pressure on a public health basis?” And he said, “Oh, yes.” And I said, “How?” And he said, “Through diet.” (laughs) So you can see that it's going to take a long time to get anything done in France.
I can believe that. What about the other country that we had some cooperation with, Russia?
Well, the Russians have really not contributed much in the heart. It is said that they've made an artificial heart that's a little bit better than something that had been made here that has been tried on a calf recently. But the don't seem to be any drugs that are better than ours, and they don't seem to be in advance of us in arteriosclerosis. There's a rumor, which is absolutely wild, that they have an adriomyacin which is nontoxic to the heart and can be given by mouth. This may be just a tumor -- I don't know. I haven't any confirmation on that. I'm going to try to get conformation
