Q:

What about the gardens?

Lasker:

The gardens were not great. There was a swimming pool that was heated, so they thought, but as it was only about seventy, it was too cold for me.

Q:

You did drive around?

Lasker:

Yes, we drove around.

Q:

You didn't go near the northern part of Ireland?

Lasker:

No. We saw a lot of a charming woman, Sybil Connolly, a dress designer, who is the only Irish dress designer of any note in the history of mankind.

Q:

What about Molly Parnis?

Lasker:

Who?

Q:

Molly Parnis.

Lasker:

Well, she's not Irish.

Q:

Isn't she Irish?

Lasker:

And she doesn't live in Ireland. This woman operates out of Dublin and has American clients. One from Texas came in her plane just to have fittings - from Texas. Can you imagine that?

Well, she's very charming. She has innumérable friends and took us to visit all kinds of people and lovely places, which were very attractive and charming.
