Q:

They reach into everything.

Lasker:

They reach into the thing, and I've been trying for the Red Cross for about three years, maybe even four years. I don't quite know how to do it, but I'm going to visit Mary Lawrence in Europe in two weeks, in three weeks; and Mary is one of the great advertising people of our time. I'm going to get her advice about it. I'm going to make a note of that, too. (pause in recording)

I thought it would amuse you to know that I visited. You know, I had no support whatever on high blood pressure from Califano, absolutely none.

Q:

Lasker:

Q:

Lasker:

Yes, he tried, but the smoking thing... People are so addicted. Even my dear niece and Deeda Blair -- I couldn't be more fond of any two people -- are smoking, and they know.
