But it Just has made Shannon unwilling to -- he doesn't want anything to get down to human beings because that makes trouble. He doesn't say this, naturally, but people who know him say this is really why he drags his feet so, you know. He's really like a very theoretical professor who doesn't want to talk about -- he wants to talk about business theory but never how do you make money?

Lasker:

Who are the same, yes. As you remember, I went to see the President after his operation last November, and by this time he had a report from Dr. Shannon which was supposed to be their forward plans. It was 500 pages and I suppose there was a summary but as far as I know the President hasn't read it yet and neither has Mr. Cater, but I spoke to him this week, in April of '67, and he said, “Yes, we'll call them back in.” I spoke to Cater. “We'll call them back in and we'll get it going.” I said, “If you don't they won't believe you meant it in the first place.”

You say that I gave you the memo that I left with the President?
