Makes sense, it's tied to a good institution. Much more sense than for instance Eisenhower and Truman being in their home . Really we had very interesting meetings discussing what should be done. I've kept constantly saying that I thought we should have a very good oral history administration.
You said that from the first.
Yes. I think there's a verygood system of getting all the documentation put together, but I doubt that there's any -- nobody's doing any oral history. Now, Maybe they'll come to realize the importance of it once the administration is over, but it seems to me it would be good if it were being done currently, what do you think? Or is it better to do it in retrospect?
Well, in some cases I think it is possible, but very often with government officials --
-- they don't want to talk while they're in office.
