Bob Watt, and the others held. They met every single day in the morning and afternoon, worked on the report, and had it all in shape. It was all written out in rough form and all that remained to do was to type it. The last day they came in to adopt it. Mrs. Rosenberg and Miss Dickerman were there. Mrs. Rosenberg asked for a copy of it, which she was entitled to as a member of the commission. So they gave her a copy of it, although it was still a rough draft with corrections in it. Will had said that he had cabled his office so that when they landed that Saturday afternoon, he would go right to his office and there would be two girls there to help get the report ready in properly typed form and properly duplicated. They would present it to the President on Monday or on Tuesday, if the President was not in Washington on Monday. At that time, of course, they wouldn't know if he were there or not. So everybody parted on landing and Will was going off with the report to have it typed.
The next episode in the matter I learned from the President. He wasn't in Washington on Monday. He was at Hyde Park and had gone up over the weekend. By this time I was home. I had come ahead of them, because I couldn't stay so long. On Monday morning the President telephoned me from Hyde Park. He said, “Frances, that's a bully report
