I've heard a great deal in labor circles lately about Catholic Church opposition to labor unions in the Netherlands, Belgium and in Denmark. I wondered if you knew anything about that?

Oh yes, but there's no Catholic Church opposition to trade unions. There is merely a strong and deliberate organizing program to organize Christian Trade Unions. The opposition is to the so-called materialistic or socialist trade unions.

Socialist in Europe doesn't mean the same thing as Communist, does it?

No, it doesn't mean the same thing as Communist, but they are materialists, you see.

They're still following Marx despite the anti-Communist thing?
