Modeling & Data Analysis

Our club is no longer a pure science focused student group and we should extend our efforts to attract those who were interested in what medical informatics encompassed. This project not only has the potential to host events all year, but it has the potential to collaborate with our other projects. For example, I can already present to you how I wish and have taken the literature presentations a step further by recreating their engineered biological systems, integrating the application of CS to SynBio. Furthermore, we will host workshops to extend such skills beyond the project members by holding workshops on Matlab and R and even provide an easier intro for our HS outreach project. On the other hand, our collaboration with Data science club or organizing participation in competitions other than iGem (i.e. Genomic Hacks) can boost our club's followers. This project can be a popular element of the club focused on the inevitable merging of SynBio and CS while offering endless potentials for collaborations with projects within and outside the club
