Sehr geehrter Herr Doktor !

Im Besitz Ihrer gefl. Karte vom 8. ds.M.² teilen wir Ihnen mit, daß die letzten Fahnen, die wir von Ihnen korrigiert zurück erhielten (54.–58.) am 31. März hier eintrafen.

Die Fahnen 59–89 (soweit ist abgesetzt) erhielten wir noch nicht zurück. Weitere Korrekturen werden Ihnen in Kürze zugehen. Die Besprechung in Frimmels Beethoven-Jahrbuch ist uns leider nicht zu Gesicht gekommen, wir haben sie uns nunmehr vom Verleger erbeten.³

Dear Doctor,

In receipt of your est’d postcard of the 8th inst,² we would inform you that the last [batch of] galley-proofs that we had back from you corrected (54–58) arrived here on March 31.

We have not yet had galley-proofs 59–89 (that is as far as has been set) back. Further proofs will be sent to you shortly. We have unfortunately not yet had sight of the review in Frimmel’s Beethovenjahrbuch.³ We have now requested it from the publisher.
