Handwritten postcard from Schenker to Emil Hertzka (UE) , dated and postmarked Friday November 27, 1908

Dear Director,
Would you be so kind as to send me a copy of the [ Instrumentations- ]Tabelle? This is because I have the oldest copy, without Foreword.1

If I am to make a few remarks,2 I need to have the latter.

With many thanks,
Yours truly,
[ sign'd: ]H. Schenker

COMMENTARY:
Format: postcard, addresses on recto, holograph message and signature on verso
Sender address: Vienna III, Reisnerstraße 38
Recipient address: Vienna I, Wipplingerstraße 32

FOOTNOTES:

1 S is presumably speaking of the "small edition," released on or before October 29, 1908 (OC 52/398). On November 23, H had reported that they were proceeding to a "large edition," (OC 52/29), and S is now evidently responding to a meeting that had happened that very morning, November 27 (WSLB 26, November 24). It is unclear precisely which edn S is referring to here, since he says it is not the first release, but it cannot be the "large edn," which would not be released until February 9, 1909, when it was deemed the "first edition." Had there been an intermediate release with Foreword?

2 i.e. remarks for the "large edn," released on February 9, 1909 (see fn1.).
