About the Atlas of the Gambia

The Atlas of the Gambia project is a public education project aimed at providing authoritative data and statistics on biophysical, social, cultural and economic dimensions of life in the Gambia. Data and information collected from various sources will be compiled into a database and be made accessible to the general public in the form of maps, tables and charts. The project is intended to be a collaborative one and individuals interested in contributing are encouraged to contact the coordinator Dr. Malanding Jaiteh at mjaiteh@ciesin.columbia.edu.
