Openings in the Sims Lab

Postdoctoral Fellows:

Openings for Two Postdoctoral Research Scientists are Available:

Position 1

The lab has established a multi-disciplinary effort to understand the molecular underpinnings of translational regulation in the brain, neurological disorders, and cancer. Multiple projects are available that take advantage of recent advances in next-generation sequencing, microscopy, computational systems biology, animal models, and the availability of human surgical specimens.  Candidates must be highly motivated Ph.D.-level scientists. Experience with next-generation sequencing is preferred, but not essential. Researchers with experience in bioinformatics are also of great interest. Prospective candidates should email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. directly and include a C.V.

Position 2

The lab has developed a new technology for massively parallel single cell transcriptome analysis that capitalizes on recent advances in next-generation sequencing, microfluidics, and microscopy. Multiple projects are now available and involve both application of these new tools as well as technology development to further advance their capabilities.  Candidates must be highly motivated Ph.D.-level scientists.  Backgrounds in biology, chemistry, physics, and/or engineering are all welcome.  Experience with next-generation sequencing, fluorescence microscopy, and/or microfluidics is a major plus, but not essential. Prospective candidates should email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. directly and include a C.V.
