1. ABC New Group Recognition
It's that time of year again! If you would like to be considered for ABC recognition please complete the attached application and return a hard copy to the ABC mailbox in the Student Club Space by TONIGHT at 11:59pm, additionally please send an electronic copy to the NGR Chair Young Yoo (youngheeyoo@gmail.com).

2. Community Development Fund
The ABC Community Development Fund was created to foster innovative new events that promote collaboration and community at Columbia. Through the Community Development Fund, ABC will fund up to $3,000 of the chosen event(s). The Fund is open to all ABC groups. Funds will be awarded on a rolling basis. The deadline to submit is 11:59pm on Sunday, February 24, 2008.

The P&P Fund Spring application form is now available online (Part 1, Part 2), the Lerner Help Desk and 704 Lerner.

2. OUC Co-sponsorship Fund
The Office of the University Chaplain Co-Sponsorship Fund is accepting applications for co-sponsorship from recognized student groups for programs taking place during spring 2008. The deadline for application submission is 5pm, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22. Recognized Barnard and Columbia University undergraduate, graduate, and professional student groups are encouraged to apply.
Priority will be given to new initiatives that focus upon issues of faith and spirituality by recognized student groups. All programs must take place on campus and be open to all students and members of the Columbia University community. For a copy of the application, visit our website. 1. Engineering Student Council Partnership Network
The Engineering Student Council Partnership Network was created in Fall 2005 to facilitate collaboration between engineering-related student groups, as well as provide support for these groups from the ESC to complement existing support from the various governing boards (ABC, SGB, CI, CSGB, IGC). There is currently an effort to revive the ESC Partnership Network, beginning with a compilation of resources to assist group leaders, and potentially a reception or other large meeting with all groups participating in the network.
The ESC is currently seeking input from engineering student groups regarding what resources would be most useful in the successful operation and management of these clubs. All suggestions and interested groups should contact the ESC Vice President, Intergroup, Dan Wong.

3. 5th Annual Relay for Life
What: Relay For Life at Columbia University
When: Saturday April 12th, 2008
Time: 12pm Noon to 3am
Where: Low Plaza and the entire center of campus
So, talk to your group! We?re aiming to have every organization represented on April 12th. To form your team, select a team captain and register. Then, recruit members from your club to join you in the fight against cancer. We would love to have your group join us this year in another amazing event with live performances, on-site activities, and amazing prizes.
Here is how to do it:
1) Go to the website
2) SIGN UP as either a team captain or join an existing team
3) Join us at Relay for Life on April 12th for tons of fun and great memories
This year, Columbia will be hosting a Monopoly themed relay, in which we encourage all teams to come out in their "boardwalk best" to celebrate, remember, and fight back. So go get all your friends together and form a team for a great cause.

SGA needs your help!
Each year, the Student Government Association (SGA) of Barnard College hosts the Leadership Awards Dinner, which recognizes the accomplishments of Barnard students, administrators, departments, staff members, and student organizations who have made significant contributions to the Barnard and Columbia community.
We need your help to nominate all those whom you believe to be deserving of recognition. The Leadership Awards Dinner is an important tradition at Barnard and your participation in the nomination process will help us to continue to uphold this legacy.

5. Yearbook Photos Needed!
The 2008 Columbian Yearbook is looking for club photos of recognized student groups for the Organizations section of this year's book. We would like to have one 'group shot' and at least one 'candid shot' of some exciting event from this year to put in the book. These photos can be ones that you submit to us, or we have photographers who can come to events or meetings to take the photos. IN ORDER TO BE REPRESENTED IN THE BOOK, WE NEED THESE PHOTOS ASAP! Our deadlines have been changed and this section will be submitted much sooner than anticipated.

10. Barnard Clay Collective
Did you know Barnard has its own clay studio?
We have spots available classes for beginners and people with experience on the wheel.
There are (not for credit, just for fun) weekly classes on Tuesday OR Wednesday nights. You either attend the Tuesday or Wednesday class every week. The studio is located in the basement of Plimpton Hall (on the corner of 120th and Amsterdam).
Beginners: Tuesday 6:00-7:30pm OR Wednesday 6:00-7:30pm
Intermediates: Tuesday 7:30-9:00pm OR Wednesday 7:30-9:00pm
The cost of the class is $150 for students, including all materials (clay and firing included). Since we are a collective, each studio member is also asked to contribute some time to cleanup and maintenance of the studio.
**People enrolled in a class have 24 hour access to the studio**

11. Taal Naach Nation
Dear ABC Clubs,
As you may now, Naach Nation is an intercollegiate dance showcase hosted by Taal, the South Asian Fusion Dance Troupe of Columbia University. This year, the show will be held on Saturday, March 1st. The Organizational Committee has decided to add an extended lobby area for patrons to wander around in before the show starts. I am writing to you to extend an opportunity to table in the lobby area.
I think it would be a great way to promote any upcoming events and the club in general, free of charge. If this sounds like something you and your organization might be interested in, please let me know by Thursday, February 21st.

CUGC is looking for musicians to form a band. So if you play the piano, guitar or any brass instrument please contact Sean Peters.

As you may now, Naach Nation is an intercollegiate dance showcase hosted by Taal, the South Asian Fusion Dance Troupe of Columbia University. This year, the show will be held on Saturday, March 1st. The Organizational Committee has decided to add an extended lobby area for patrons to wander around in before the show starts. I am writing to you to extend an opportunity to table in the lobby area.
I think it would be a great way to promote any upcoming events and the club in general, free of charge. If this sounds like something you and your organization might be interested in, please let me know by Thursday, February 21st.

12. CU Gospel Choir - Musicians and Singers wanted!
CUGC is looking for musicians to form a band. So if you play the piano, guitar or any brass instrument please contact Sean Peters.

The Office of the University Chaplain has extended the proposal deadline for Kraft Family Fund for Intercultural and Interfaith Awareness. The new proposal deadline is NOON ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15. Submit proposals to 203 Earl Hall.
Projects eligible for Kraft Family Fund consideration will bring together two or more recognized Columbia University and/or Barnard College cultural and/or faith-based student groups that seek to advance intercultural and/or interfaith awareness through interaction and an open exchange of ideas.

Engineering Activities Fair @ E-Weeks Opening Ceremony

The Engineering Student Council is coordinating an Engineering Activities Fair to be held at this year's E-Weeks opening ceremony. We are currently looking for engineering-related groups to host tables at the event, showcasing their organizations and accomplishments to other SEAS students. 2. Engineering Student Council Partnership Network
The Engineering Student Council Partnership Network was created in Fall 2005 to facilitate collaboration between engineering-related student groups, as well as provide support for these groups from the ESC to complement existing support from the various governing boards (ABC, SGB, CI, CSGB, IGC). There is currently an effort to revive the ESC Partnership Network, beginning with a compilation of resources to assist group leaders, and potentially a reception or other large meeting with all groups participating in the network.
The ESC is currently seeking input from engineering student groups regarding what resources would be most useful in the successful operation and management of these clubs. All suggestions and interested groups should contact the ESC Vice President, Intergroup, Dan Wong.

10. Haitian Students Association and Grupo Quisqueyano: THE PRICE OF SUGAR

Join us as we watch and discuss the award-winning film about Haitian migrant workers in the sugar plantations of the Dominican Republic. The discussion will not be limited to Haiti and the DR, but will extend to a broader discussion about power dynamics, systems of oppression, and building positive relationships.

11. 5th Annual Relay for Life
What: Relay For Life at Columbia University
When: Saturday April 12th, 2008
Time: 12pm Noon to 3am
Where: Low Plaza and the entire center of campus
So, talk to your group! We?re aiming to have every organization represented on April 12th. To form your team, select a team captain and register. Then, recruit members from your club to join you in the fight against cancer. We would love to have your group join us this year in another amazing event with live performances, on-site activities, and amazing prizes.
Here is how to do it:
1) Go to the website
2) SIGN UP as either a team captain or join an existing team
3) Join us at Relay for Life on April 12th for tons of fun and great memories
This year, Columbia will be hosting a Monopoly themed relay, in which we encourage all teams to come out in their "boardwalk best" to celebrate, remember, and fight back. So go get all your friends together and form a team for a great cause.

SGA needs your help!
Each year, the Student Government Association (SGA) of Barnard College hosts the Leadership Awards Dinner, which recognizes the accomplishments of Barnard students, administrators, departments, staff members, and student organizations who have made significant contributions to the Barnard and Columbia community.
We need your help to nominate all those whom you believe to be deserving of recognition. The Leadership Awards Dinner is an important tradition at Barnard and your participation in the nomination process will help us to continue to uphold this legacy.
INSTRUCTIONS:
CC/SEAS/GS STUDENTS: Please go to ebear.barnard.edu and sign in under "eBear Guests." From there, click on the link that says "SGA Leadership Dinner."
BARNARD STUDENTS: You can nominate by going to eBear and clicking the ONLINE FORM link within the COMMUNITY tab. Once you're in the ONLINE FORM section, click the LEADERSHIP DINNER link on the left hand side of the page. From there, you can read about the criteria for the awards and then nominate away!
