it be the national repertory theatre, would it do classical pieces, would it do American experimental as you're saying. What in the two and a half years you've been involved, and with Mosher now on the board, has there been a new attempt to redefine, to define the essence of this theatre? What it is. This theatre that has to exist in New York City with Broadway.

Yes, it's-

What in the decisions of the board?

Heiskell:

It's what I told you.

A repertory theatre?

Heiskell:

No. It's a theatre that has got to produce some, quote, popular performances, and some, quote, experimental theatre. And you hope that in the experimental theatre you get enough to prove your point. There being no experimental theatre elsewhere, much in the city. Well, there is some, yeah.

But is this theatre different from all the other theatres in New York?
