Was the first one?

Heiskell:

--really created the editorial page.

Q:

It could have been in the 40s. Where did Luce stand when you got there in '37 on the--

Heiskell:

He was an internationalist, and of course he was for some of the same reasons that I was, but his internationalism was due to China. But he had also traveled quite a bit. It's difficult to remember that in those days, most people hadn't traveled--most people
