Nevermind. However you would know--generally, how would you gage the reaction at Life to this whole case? Was it something that people were talking about?

Heiskell:

Oh yes. You mean in 1950, in the Nixon period?

Q:

Yes.

Heiskell:

When Nixon was running the investigation?

Q:

Yes.

Heiskell:

I think most of the sympathy was with Hiss.

Q:

Even though Chambers had been an editor?

Heiskell:

Yes.
