Q:

What do you remember about the succession to Hunt? It wasn't so clear-cut, was it, that it would be Hunt? Do you remember that?

Heiskell:

Yes. It was Hunt, or--

Q:

Wooton?

Heiskell:

Wooton. And it was debated at great length by Harry and myself. I guess Billings was still around, or was he? Billings? When did he leave? I forget. Anyway, I don't remember Billings particularly--

Q:

What about Shepley? Do you remember him in that?

Heiskell:

He wouldn't have been involved. That was what year?

Q:

1961.

Heiskell:

No, no. Shepley was, at that point, publisher of Fortune.

Q:

Yes. No, I know that.

Heiskell:

Why do you bring up Shepley?
