wasn't a place for Henry Luce's son in Time Incorporated.

Q:

Did Henry Luce have aspirations?

Heiskell:

Q:

Yes. Harry Luce.

Heiskell:

Mixed. I think--I'm obviously interpreting--I think there were times when he wished Hank would star in the company, and other times when he wished to God he wasn't around. And it was very difficult, because we had to deal with the problem of Henry Luce's son.

Q:

Heiskell:

Q:

And yet he was given tremendous--he was publisher of Time at one point, right?

Heiskell:

He was publisher of Fortune, and publisher of Time, and that was the end.

Q:
